I EDC 357 Sig, reload for it of course, but carry factory ammo for carry.

Came across this today, one of the few times I ever go to Midway any more, was looking around for pistol bags, then of course, began checking out ammo selection and prices there.

1.70 cents a round for this below,in 20 round boxes from MidwayUSA,,and the exact same thing, from AIM surplus, in 50 round boxes, for .50 cents a round.

I just ordered, actually a couple of times in past month or two, boxes of this from AIM, and with shipping and taxes, add about 20 or 23 per shipment to the total for ammo.

Maybe the 20 round boxes cost 1.20 cents a throw..........for the little/smaller boxes???? ;)

I'm not knocking Midway, don't shop there any more, but not knocking them, but one can price themselves out of the market place no matter what is being sold.

It pays to shop around, prices on everything, can and do vary wildly.

Ya also eat on them hogs,,,,,whick will also eat their own young, making them cannibals.

You be any relation to them Donner folks?
I ain't that enamored with much of a hog except for the cured belly nor a chicken except for the white meat. A cow is a different thing. They are just delicious.

I'd be buying the hell out of that stuff for $0.50 a pop. Unfortunately, I don't own a .357 Sig, and AIM doesn't have it in 9mm.

Many of the 40SW pistols will change over to 357 Sig with a barrel change, same mags.

Its a great round,,,,,124 grain JHP 38/9mm and 1500 FPS makes a big hole!!!!!

Flat shooting too, thats what sold me, no hold over @ 100 yards...........

I got a .41 magnum.. and some old ammo for it. Can't afford any for it nowadays.

Way back when,,,,Everyone at Shooting Times, in the days of Skeeter and Keith, loved them the 41,,,,,,so much so, you'd think they owned the rights to make the ammo.

Can't remember the last time I've seen anyone actually shooting it though.

I have a Dan Wesson. Its.like mint. My father in law had it and it only been fired 6 rnds that I remember . He fired a few rnds. showed it to me I shot 2 rounds . Handed it back to him after we talked about it. Then he forgot to put his ear protection back on fired it and busted his ear drum. IT was never fired again and he died of a sudden heart attack a few yrs later. I bought it at the current market value from my mother in law. I have not shot it myself. I have maybe 300 rnds for it. Thatl be enuf . It will blow a lung out for sure 😎

I ain't shot 'em yet, but I'm the proud new owner of a couple of matching (consecutive serial numbers) Model 57s.

I'm gonna chute the chit out of those things.

My favorite caliber :) Couple of years ago I bought a Glock 33 on a local forum for $400. Seller said it comes with some ammo. Met him at a parking lot, pistol in mint condition. And it came with 250 rounds of factory ammo!

I also got a 40 and 9mm barrel for it on GB cheap, and no issues with any of the calibers.

I also reload for it, but it's nice to have some factory ammo for carry. My small pistol primers are over 30 years old, and I have had some duds in my 9mm loads.

There are a bunch of .41 fanatics on Lee Martin's Single Actions forum. They even developed the .41 Special cartridge to shoot in their guns when they don't need full power.

I'm looking around for a police trade-in G22 or 23. It will sport a .357 Sig barrel shortly. Damn, that's all I need to do is add yet another cartridge to the logistics train! It seems that .357 Sig is suffering from the same fate as the 10mm Auto; factory ammo is dumbed down to the same level as 9mm or .40 S&W. There are only a couple of factory 10mm loads that are full power these days. I have heard the same thing about the .357 Sig and 9mm loads.

The Speer stuff I've checked, runs out of a Glock 32 C at 1425 plus on average, and out of my converted Glock 22's, a solid 1500 FPS or so,,,,which is about as stiff a load as I can shoot from a handgun any more.

As others mentioned above, the shock and awe is something to behold with 357 Sig and a ported barrel.:)LOL
