At least one of those AK-47s is a very early 'Type 2' variant, and at least one of those BM59s is a 'Nigerian' type - that's a lot of money in parts kits being fired there!

……given that neither are current issue there they no doubt pulled these out of the store somewhere and permanently assigned them to the “troop training role”. Interesting to see that there were a bundle of BM59s lined up there. You see it when old mate is clearing the malfunction(s).

That would certainly add authenticity to the mix! Wonder what their annual casualty rate in this training exercise is? I'm betting that it's higher than zero!

Sergeant, I want you to write up a risk assessment for this live-fire exercise we're planning, so I can take it to the commander for approval... Not in the U.S. Army, anyway!

Wasn't that how the British trained their commandos during WWII? And, it seems they brought that style of training when Camp X started.
