I'm curious what your thinking is on putting that much magnification on a short range rifle? I'm sort of doing the same thing. Except the kit I'm using is far less delux. So what does that big scope do for you?

Very difficult to see the 1/8" aiming dot that I use without good glass at 50 or 100 yds.

My buddy is waiting on his to arrive so he can mount it on his .22. He has nothing but praise about them since several local shooters have them already.

The ARA Factory Benchrest bull is about 1/8th inch diameter and shot at 50 yards. The Open Class target is smaller and uses a lighter ink pattern. High power optics are a must. Art's target shots he has posted got me interested in doing the same but in a competition, thus the ARS target.

I'm shooting slow 30 caliber pills out to 200 yards and I need that magnification to see bullet holes out that far. No competition but same big parabola. I could get into .22 BR. Sounds very cool.

Atlas would be my suggestion. Not cheap, but well worth the money. I like shooting with the legs forward for my pre-load. Harris does not do that. The S7 in the last photo is wonderful, but expensive and heavy. Whatta Hobby!

Atlas are very good. They do give a discount to LOE & military personnel. Harris are good quality but not on the same level as Atlas. I wouldn’t go any less than Harris, don’t get sucked into buying knock-off Harris they aren’t worth it.
